Liked: The staff are very polite and attentive. The room was very comfortable. A good, relaxing stay.

Very pleasant hotel, a few...

Liked: Breakfast was good, location is close to the station and an easy walk into the town centre. Draught beer in the bar (unusual for a hotel). Room was very quiet. Staff excellent.
Disliked: Grey paint is depressing, yet a lot of it used. Shower was poor (single, fixed, overhead rose) and tigbt to get in and out. Hot water took an exceptionally long time to arrive. Too much self service for breakfast.

Superb

Liked: The room was very nice, spacious and clean. The bathroom was lovely clean and modern. There was a nice bar area with a nice atmosphere.
Disliked: When we booked, the hotel advised us of a set 2 course meal in their restaurant and to book in advance as it gets very busy. We did but on the night were told theres no room in the restaurant and was given a table in the bar. As the hotel had already took the cost of the set meals out before we booked in we had no option but to eat there. The soup was only warm and the pork very minimal. I was very disappointed and felt it affected my ratings of a good hotel.

Disliked: Noisy air con / air vent on bathroom ceiling made for a very poor nights sleep

Liked: Staff were excellent
Disliked: Food not up to scratch. We were not satisfied with rectification on the night but the next day we were offered satisfactory compensation with apology. They also took on board our comments.
