Very good

Liked: Great location in central Auckland. Great view of harbour from our balcony. Did not expect such a good view from the room. Kids loved the rooftop pool and we had it to ourselves. Good value for money.
Disliked: Free parking would have been great. Was $45 to park overnight at hotel.

Disappointing

Liked: Location is always great,the two pools. ☆2nd staff member at the tower reception who was professional,helpful,kind and went above and beyond to help us find a better room did her very best to help us in general with any queries.In actual fact she was just absolutely lovely,like night and day difference from our previous experience.
Disliked: The staff member at our 1st check in at the main reception who apparently was a manager was condescending , abruptly abrasive and rude and made us feel like we shouldn't have been there and placed us in possibly the worst room ever conceived in a hotel building. We didn't even realize the heritage had rooms like it...dark,gloomy,cramped and looked out to a dark,unpleasant alleyway,if you've stayed previously and liked it ensure you check you've got the same standard of room.Luckily we've stayed there many times over the years previously and prior to her employment and enjoyed it and never been treated so poorly.The 2nd room was much better, it could've done with carpets being cleaned,kitchen and bathroom revamped apart from that it was okay.The hotel could do with some TLC in general,painting, repairs, carpets cleaned and more staff definitely.

Disliked: Parking at $45 and so far to walk to our room from lift , thought I’d have a bath but couldn’t tap fixed tight even my husband couldn’t free it , why give me a bath bomb when I couldn’t use it
