AMAZING
Liked: The staff was amazing and helpful. Good size bath. Beds were comfortable and the food was amazing. Ingore all the negative reviews. However the reception staff Pam was on it she called through to the restaurant and mentioned it was my birthday and they came out with a lovely design plate and brownies and strawberry
Disliked: My partner couldn't get out the changing rooms as there are no signs to get out

Liked: Easy check in spacious room very quiet good breakfast
Disliked: Bit of a walk from carpark to hotel, bar area not well lit and a bit dull

Exceptional
Liked: Amazing weekend. The hotel was great the room was a lot bigger than what we expected, we chose to have breakfast which had a great variety. Leisure facilities were really good, everything from pool, sauna, steam room to spacious changing areas, showers and the use of free towels every time you went in. the opening time were great meaning you could go from early morning or later on in the evening you can also use these before and after check in meaning my children got the chance to have another swim before we left to go home without having to rush around and fit it in before checking out. all in all we had a lovely time together and will definitely be coming back

Fabulous weekend retreat

Disappointing
Liked: Nice shower gel.
Disliked: We were attending a Mama Mia event that they were having at the hotel and found it to be extremely disappointing and not as advertised. The majority was a DJ and the "Mama Mia" part was a woman in a dress and trainers singing Abba songs for two 20 minute intervals. We were seated right at the back of the room at a table that was so close to the table behind we couldn't move and couldn't hear the singer either. The food we had was good but it took them 45 minutes to clear the plates before serving our next course. Breakfast had to be booked on arrival for the following morning so we booked for 10.15. Smoked salmon was on the menu in addition to the continental and hot breakfast. The waitress advised that you had to ask for the salmon and it would be brought out to you and so after having a look at the other items I asked for the salmon. 5 minutes later she came to the table to say that unfortunately the chef stops doing the salmon at 10.30 so it's no longer available! I was a little put out by this as she hadn't mentioned the 10.30 "cut off" in the first instance and also we had pre booked out timeslot the night before at reception and it hadn't been mentioned there either! I asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came to the table she was very apologetic but said it was because they had run out of the salmon. If I had been told that in the first place I would have accepted it but it was clear that the poor waitress was embarrassed when she came back to tell me what the chef had said and so in a way to cover up the manager changed the story. All in all it topped off a very disappointing stay. It wasn't value for money and we will not be booking again.
