Our stay at the Heathman Lodge was wonderful. Hotel staff clearly pay close attention to details. Nothing is overlooked. The rooms are lovely and very quiet; the grounds are well kept and beautiful; the hotel makes recycling a priority - which is important to our family. The front desk offers a complimentary latte, cappuccino or hot chocolate in the morning. The restaurant on the premises, Hudson's is flat out excellent. Usually hotel food is mediocre at best but Hudson's should be one of the reasons you'd stay at the Heathman. In fact, we noticed many locals enjoying Hudson's. We came to Vancouver for a concert and staying at the Heathman was the icing on the cake. Can't wait to go back!

Liked: Maybe I expected too much. It was a pleasant experience but not exceptional. The bed was excellent and the room very clean. Disappointing that the bird sound recording in the hall did not truly reflect care for birds. The very bright lights around the property actually cause birds to chirp themselves to death because they mistake it for daylight. I think motion lights would work better.
Disliked: A real fire downstairs. C'mon. It's a lodge.
