Lovely historic building with modern...

Liked: The hotel is conveniently located, the staff were very friendly. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The shared bathrooms were very clean and there was always one available when we needed it. The communal balcony was a nice spot for an afternoon drink!

Charming, comfortable and great value.

Liked: Healesville is a tourist town, known mostly for its animal park/sanctuary. I have not visited for a number of years, but was delighted to find it in a pretty, vibrant state: lots of people, lots of choices for eating and drinking, and plenty of retail variety. An historic town on the Yarra River, part of the goldrush era of the 1800's. The Healesville hotel was built in 1912, replacing the original built in the 1860's. It's old world charm and beauty has been augmented by modern facilities without compromising heritage. I loved the shared bathrooms with dado walls and twin shower stalls. I had the best night's sleep for six months in the cosy, quiet room. I can't wait to revisit with my partner.
Disliked: I honestly can't think of a negative, apart from maybe the rather untidy, insecure parking area; but hey: it's the country!!

Liked: Right in the centre of town old Quaint Clean loved the bathrooms even though you have to share fabulous food lunch and dinner would go back again

Downtown historic buildings w/ comfy...

Liked: Very nice atmosphere, very big room and everything in perfect order and completely as advertised. It’s only a couple of rooms and it’s a sleepy town, so was very quiet (I was there on Sunday). The restaurant was also nice and the beer gardens seems good if the weather’s good.
Disliked: Would’ve loved breakfast and coffee in their courtyard ☺️
