Brilliant solo stay in this...
Liked: It was very tasteful and oozing with history. They prepared a tea tray for me and my friends who had come to see me in one of the drawing rooms. The bedroom was really cosy and beautifully decorated. I really liked that the energy in this hotel was always friendly and down to earth, making you feel at ease.
Disliked: The stairs are a bit small to step up and down from, due to how old they are. But that’s what you get from an old building.

A lovely little spot right...
Liked: Fabulous incredibly well kept classical boutique hotel. My room was beautiful, not huge but it was perfect. No shower but a massive roll-top bath so I enjoyed and fantastic bath in the morning.

Very good
Liked: Room was very well decorated, and had a lovely style to it. Very historic building in a great location. Extremely close to Soho and Theatreland, so perfect for nights out to the theatre and more. TV in the room was very easy to use and you get Free Wi-Fi, It is very simple to cast from a smart phone or tablet straight to the TV - can be done in seconds with no passwords or complicated setup needed, so you can use your own Netflix/Prime/Disney if you want to watch TV in bed. The bathroom had a lovely bath/shower in it, which was very easy to use. We didn't use the in-room mini-bar. However, it looked like it was well stocked. There was also a lovely bar/reading room downstairs with an "honesty bar" in it, where you can just help yourself and write what you had in the book so they could charge it to your room. Everything was easy and although the staff were on-hand 24/7, we didn't need them once.
Disliked: Be aware, the hotel take a £70 per night deposit from you if you're not paying with a credit card. This was not made clear before arrival, so was a bit of a surprise. It was, however, refunded immediately upon checking out so didn't hinder the stay at all - just plan ahead if you're limited on funds. The bed was also VERY high off the ground, and we had to climb up on to it - I'm 5ft 8 and my partner is 5ft 10, so this was a little surprising - shorter people would have a hard time with this. Depending on which room you're in, some of the floors are also sloped which can be quite disorienting when you're walking around.

Disappointed…..
Liked: Location
Disliked: No walking shower! Just a hand held shower over the world’s most skinniest bath!! Window did not open for fresh air!!

Very good
Liked: The decor of Hazlitts and the overall ambience was lovely - staff super friendly and helpful. Great location.
Disliked: It would be good if they had a restaurant rather than just room service.
