Very good
Liked: The hotel is located near the central area of San Francisco. It's quite convenient with lots of stores and restaurants around, while the neighbourhood is peaceful day and night. They allow us to check-in as soon as the room is ready, as well as they have a small luggage storage with lock we can use before check-in.Although the hotel is unmanned, the system is easy to use and we had no difficulties. Also, the staff is responsive through message.I like the hotel's cute oldish building. The room was clean and well-heated. Wi-Fi was good.
Disliked: The bouncy bed is not my thing...(This is a matter of personal preference)You have to carry your phone whenever you go outside of the room to unlock the door. I was not very comfortable to bring my phone into the shower room where it might get wet. There seemed to be no water dispenser, but the tap water was drinkable.

Liked: Nothing because the whole place was completely different off what they said online.
Disliked: Everything the toilet seat it’s in one small room the bathtub in another small room on the hallway and the sink is in the room the blankets and pillows look like they’re years old.

Good
Liked: Hayes Valley in scores high on location and affordability. For longer stays, however, there are some drawbacks. The OpenKey app for keyless entry to rooms works mostly well, most of the time, but it can be a little slow, and didn’t always recognize my device. I ended up getting a physical key for backup. And while the hotel staff were generally responsive, they weren’t well-informed. When I asked for room service after 3 days (and after leaving the Room Service Please card on my door), I was initially told my room would be cleaned and, only after discovering it had not been cleaned, was told room service is only available on Fridays (then why is there a card to request service?). Overall, it was a pleasant but occassionally frustrating stay. I recommend it for short visits (4 days or less), but would give pause to those staying a week or more, as I was.

Old but near prefect.
Liked: Ease of check in. And was able to accommodate an early check in. They also have a locked baggage storage they allowed me to use after I checked out since I wasn't leaving town for a few hours. Older building but that's part of the charm.
Disliked: The walls were a bit thin, plus the light in the hallway was peeking through the door a bit and if you aren't tech savvy you are definitely going to be in trouble. Definitely an old building but it's part of the charm.
