While there were some things that weren't appealing, overall, it was an adequate space for an overnight stay.
Liked: Employees at check in were top notch; very friendly and professional.
Disliked: There were small children outside making noise at 1.30 AM; closet door was off in the upstairs bedroom; the chair downstairs was severely stained.

The hotel room was decent. Two floors, two bedrooms with their own bathrooms, a living area, and a kitchen. I had my room to myself, but one fellow I overheard as I was checking in said that there was someone else in his room; however, he was soon informed by the receptionist that they were to share the room (upstairs and downstairs). This may be uncomfortable to many, including that man. After a show at Alrosa Villa, I finally entered my room for the first time around midnight. Overall, the appearance was acceptable. As I laid down to sleep, I pulled the covers down and noticed something crawling on the sheets. After examining it, killing it and flicking it off the bed (which I will later come to regret doing), I google searched it to find out it was a bedbug! I was disgusted, went to the front and checked out. I was told I could call the manager for a refund (since I was only in the room for ONE hour), so I drove 4 hours home at 1am. I called the manager about the bedbug and refund the next day, and he arrogantly claimed that I was a liar and there were no bedbugs, denying me my refund. I travel often, but this will be the first and last time I book with Hawthorne "Suites". I recommend everyone else to allocate their time and money with a less shoddy hotel, with managers more dedicated to their customer service and attitude. Good riddance.
Liked: Mostly clean minus a few tears in the walls in the kitchen.
Disliked: Poor customer service; poor management; poor attitude; bedbug(s).

Overall good room for the price.
Liked: Pricing. But of course with low pricing expect the above. Pool area was nice and an unexpected, great breakfast.
Disliked: Room was out dated and not that clean. Bad part of town. Other guests were kinda scary.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here! We look forward to coming back again. :)
Liked: The room was clean and smelled fresh. Bed was extremely comfortable. Very cozy 'at home' feeling!
Disliked: I got the room for the fireplace, thinking it was a pre lit log one. Turned out that you had to supply your own wood - such a let down!

This was such a cool hotel to stay at! I felt like I was staying in an apartment instead of a hotel. The staff was very nice, and the complimentary breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here next time I go to Columbus.
Liked: Size, comfort, cleanliness.
Disliked: Nothing.
