Rude and meh

Liked: Spacious room and nice kitchenette.
Disliked: This was the rudest front desk experience in recent memory. We got to our room to find it was not the type we booked and we had to argue with her and show her our booking.com reservation before she relented and switched our room to one similar to our reservation, all the while saying we should be calling booking.com to handle this mix-up. Hah right. Then in the new room we noticed the gutter outside the window was hanging down and ready to blow off. My husband went down to alert the front desk but she just laughed it off, oh yeah someone is coming in the morning. Um ok, bu that could kill someone or hit a car parked below. Indeed, in the morning we saw it had fallen into the parking lot. Since I'm on a rant, I'll say the room was dirtier than I expected (dead lady bugs and other beetles in the carpet, window sill and TV stand) and the bathroom door was like a barn door and had an awkwardly large gap between it and the wall that disallowed privacy, and let out light which is annoying when you're trying tp sneak around in the morning and not wake your toddlers. We were underwhelmed by the breakfast as compared to other similarly priced hotels. Anyway, we will not be back.

Disliked: Breakfast needs work. The “hot” items were cold biscuits with dry chicken strips and cold rubbery scrambled eggs.

Disliked: The staff treated us like 2nd class citizens since "we booked through a 3rd party." When checking in, it took over 7 minutes (I was the only one at the counter) and that is when it started. The lady said it takes a while because i booked through s 3rd party instead of booking with them directly. I did not even ask what was taking so long.We booked a room with a king sized bed and when we got to our room, it was a queen. When we called down to tell them and ask for a king, the lady told me "you booked through a 3rd party, so you get what you get. Things get messed up when you use a 3rd party." I have a messed up knee and needed the extra room. My husband ended up sleeping on the couch to give me the room i needed, so he woke up with a sore back. The bed (even if it would have been the right sized) still was not that comfortable. Poor water pressure in shower and the bottom of the tub was slick even though it was a handicap room. The breakfast was not good. The only "warm" food they had was scrambled eggs and bacon. I would not waste your money at this location.
