Loved it once again.

Liked: Breakfast was lovely but a little expensive. It was extra on room rate where previously was included. Decaf local coffee!!Always a great welcome. Room upgrade to avoid potential noise from a wedding do. Apology for the noise! Lovely welcome and attentive care. Fabulous taster menu in restaurant. You need to pre book. Fantastic views, fourth stay here and would return.
Disliked: Bed not made, didn’t read room notice until later. Didn’t have a sign in room to hang in door anyway. No lovely biscuits to have with coffee which were available previously. Little touches make big difference.

Liked: We have stayed here before so expected the same hospitable experience some of the rooms had had a major refurbishment and looked beautiful
Disliked: On arrival, we were informed that there was a private party that night and to expect a little noise. What we didn't know is that we were the only guests. That someone thought it would be a good idea to use the room next to us as a dumping ground for coats and thus people coming and going all night. People trying to get into our room which in the end. I had to get up and tell people we were actually trying to sleep at 1 in the morning. !!!I informed staff the next morning and as of 3 weeks later no one has contacted us to apologise . After this I Don't think we will ever stay again.

Dated property with a great...

Liked: The view of the harbor at Newquay was spectacular from the balcony. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I think they are trying, but they are dealing with a dated property.
Disliked: The bed was old and rickety. There was a couch, but it was unusable because you had to put luggage on it, and it was misplaced to see the TV. The sink was old-separate hot and cold spouts. The shower was inaccessible for my wife because the tub was too high. In general, old-fashioned and dated. The breakfast was separate and expensive.
