Liked: The proximity to the seafront
Disliked: The courtyard room we stayed in was dirty in places and paint was flaking from bathroom features and they have changed the breakfast so when you book to include breakfast, you now have to pay an extra amount for anything cooked.

Misses the mark wouldn't stay...

Liked: Nothing stood out
Disliked: Breakfast rate is only for a very limited selection charge extra for hot selection no what I expect booking a B&B rate. Room cold heating not effective

Exceptional

Liked: Good room with balcony and good spa complex. Told reception about door to room being stiff and hard to open, and the maintenance man fixed it
Disliked: We had a meal in the restaurant and paid at the end ,and didn't realise they added a service charge, which they didn't let us know

Haven in Sidmouth

Liked: Room, bed, bathroom all excellent. Comfortable and warm. Spa was spotless and relaxing. Food was delicious and staff very helpful. Oh, and complimentary Gin! Nice touch.
Disliked: There were two choices of Rioja and we ordered the more modestly priced bottle. It was delicious. On check out we discovered we were being charged for the more expensive bottle. I hadn't noticed they brought the wrong one (I assume they did) so it was slightly awkward. Still, a very nice wine and I paid the extra as the chap on reception didn't seem to know quite what to do about the mix up and as everything else had been brilliant I let it go.
