Liked: The hotel is beautiful and right in the center of everything. Loved our room and the view.
Disliked: The $32 parking fee.

Wonderful stay

Liked: Excellent location, right across the pier. Staff was extremely helpful. Jocelyn at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was large with an amazing balcony overlooking the canal.

Great for a quick and...

Liked: Conveniently located to the beach and to the retail area on State Street. The North location appears new and the facilities were clean and quiet with its own parking garage. Staff, while limited, was very friendly and responsive
Disliked: The city-side view is also close to the train station and a crosswalk. The trains will run at least until midnight and pick up at 6 am with frequent horns. That is the noisiest part of staying in this area

Rude and intimidating staff

Liked: Great location and very comfortable room.
Disliked: The staff were surly and rude. Challenged when entering car park for forgetting to display the pass, and after booking an extra night there was an issue with room type. Instead of dealing with this in a polite manner, the Receptionist was rude, aggressive and dismissive of us. Indeed, he threatened to move our possessions to another room whilst we were out, which we felt was bullying and intimidating. We would not recommend this hotel despite the quality of the room.

Liked: Nice views from the room of the harbor and of the unexpectedly well heated swimming pool.
Disliked: Just my taste, dark brown painted wood instead of the former light pickled wood trim.
