Our first time at the hotel, and we will be back. Staff was friendly; hotel was clean and very quiet. Easy to get to Chase Center from hotel on the Metro.

I've worked in the hotel industry for a while so I am aware of how it operates. I've heard all the compliments and criticisms one could hear. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and the staff were very helpful and pleasant; from the front desk agent, to the luggage greeters, to the night staff. It's conveniently located so I understand the pricing - I just thought the breakfast could have been priced a little more reasonably. However, I get it. I wish I knew the names of some of the members of the staff so I could mention them - they made me feel quite welcome and comfortable. Job well done.

Liked: Location is good and rooms in the new building complex are decent.
Disliked: Woke up to the room being flooded with what turned out to be toilet/sewage water from a room upstairs, in the middle of the night at 2am. It took more than an hour and multiple interactions with the night desk to get a replacement room. Belongings got wet/dirty, it dripped on the bed and guest. Talked to the front desk managers multiple times and while they have been apologetic, ultimately they did not do anything. Accidents like this can happen, I guess, but handling of the situation and the aftermath were quite unprofessional. Despite several attempts, hotel has been totally unresponsive to offer compensation for the damages caused by the water to my clothes, medication, and property.

Liked: The Handlery Union Square Hotel is an older property, but its excellent location—just one block from the shopping district—makes it a convenient choice. The bed was a bit uncomfortable for me, but the variety of nearby restaurants made up for it. I highly recommend Caffe Central for a good breakfast.

Liked: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hanley Hotel in Union Square, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, combining modern comforts with a touch of classic charm. I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything was—from the comfortable beds to the thoughtfully provided amenities, including makeup mirrors, a shoeshine service, and even an in-room refrigerator.The location couldn’t be better; being right in the heart of downtown San Francisco meant that I was within walking distance of so many great restaurants, shops, and attractions. Checking in early was a breeze, and the accommodating staff went out of their way to ensure that I felt welcome. They even held my baggage the next day, allowing me to enjoy a leisurely breakfast without any worries.
