Liked: Staff were very helpful. A very enjoyable and tasty lunch. Clean facilities and generous equipment and materials in the bedroom.
Disliked: There were quite a lot of stairs, including 2 or 3 down from bedroom to bathroom with no handrail.....unavoidable in an interesting building like that but something to check on when we return!

Great lively pub …

Liked: Lovely pub… fantastic breakfast.. we both agreed that it was probably the best breakfast we have ever eaten..
Disliked: TV wasn’t working

Lovely place to stay but...

Liked: It was beautifully designed room and the food (dinner and breakfast), once it arrived, was good.
Disliked: Over-priced room rate for breakfast included. Would’ve been better to book ‘room only’ and pay for breakfast separately. No promised handmade welcome treat - probably because the reception didn’t know about our booking via Booking.com. Some lights in the bedroom and bathroom didn’t work. Room was over a function room was very noisy during pub opening hours. Restaurant service very slow. Eg. Sat down at our table at 7.30pm and had to ask to order even drinks at 7.50. Other tables were fetching their own from the bar.

Overnight stop near Brooklands

Liked: The room was large, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was fine but nothing exceptional. The location was very convenient for Brooklands Museum.
Disliked: The evening meal in the restaurant was a big disappointment. I ended up having sausage and mash (not my plan for a weekend away evening meal) and the only vegetarian option of pea burger meant my wife had 3 side dishes including very dry macaroni and cheese. Should have done my research and booked a restaurant in town and a taxi to get us there.
