This 17th-century-style country house is set in 200 acres of parkland. It is a luxury hotel with its own PGA Championship golf course an award-winning restaurant and a leisure center with pool sauna gym spa bath and steam rooms. Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club is in the Hertfordshire countryside 25 miles from central London. Stansted Airport is less than 40 minutes away by car. The historic building mixes original character with modern luxury. The traditionally decorated rooms have luxury beds flat-screen TVs work desks and laptop safes. Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club features Vardon's a sports bar with a large TV serving light meals and snacks. The traditional wood-paneled bar has a real fire and offers afternoon teas drinks and cocktails. Guests get 24 hours of free WiFi in the public areas. The more contemporary Cast Iron Grill has a terrace looking out over the 18th hole of the hotel's golf course. The hotel has free parking but does not have air con on property. The golf course was originally designed by Harry Vardon and later re-designed by Jack Nicklaus II. Another happy stay at Hanbury...

Liked: Beautiful setting. Nice, quiet room.

Disliked: Nothing

A beautiful setting with stunning...

Liked: The hot buffet was always freshly prepared and full at any time during the breakfast hours
Disliked: I found it difficult to find the plain natural yogurt

It was average

Liked: We stayed in room 463 and lift kept braking down as my wife is 70 and have problems with her knee had to use the stairs
Disliked: We could of been moved to a another room

Great place to relax with...

Liked: Great location and friendly staff Spa and pool were lovely and clean
Disliked: Room service was over an hour late which caused for upset & very hungry kids but staff apologised and halved the bill

Lovely stay, could have better...

Liked: The property is impressive with loads of historic features.
Disliked: The bar is limited and could be so much better. My husband asked for a Bloody Mary which is a basic drink but the staff said that they do not serve these.
