What stay? We were turned...

Disliked: Showed up at our check in date and were told our reservation was canceled because the power was out and they had no way to take down any information. Ever heard of a pen and pencil? We made this reservation because we are displaced from the hurricanes and now without electricity for over three weeks. The power there came back within a few hours after we tried to check in! Deplorable. Did not receive a phone call or any communication ahead of time of us showing up that THEY cancelled our reservation! I got an email two days after the fact. You should be ashamed to turn people (and two small dog) away that seek shelter in need. We were fully prepared to pay the over $600 for three nights of sleeping in a bed and having water. I will make sure everyone who ever asks me about your Hampton hotel will hear how you treat people in need. What an embarrassment!
