Liked: The beds were nice
Disliked: The pool was closed. The only reason we booked was so he could swim. Checked if the pool was open before booking. Then when we go there they had a sign it was closed

Never Again

Liked: We used to enjoy the free breakfast here before new owners took over. Definitely a downgrade in quality. I love seeing the great value brand loaves of bread, still in the bags, in the pastry drawers. One of the offers this past week were these weird faux fried eggs, very unappealing and rubbery for texture. The hot tub and pool have not been opened any of the times we have stayed, they are always under maintenance.
Disliked: Our stay this past week started with the manager at the front desk telling my husband he had to tell her what services his service dog provides for him. That if he didn't tell her, she would be charging us the nonrefundable pet fee. Even though we've provided his license every time he's been with us. So now that she knows a good chunk of my husband's medical history, we also find out that she is staying in the room right next to our's. I have never felt more uncomfortable in a hotel room because of this. It made me feel like I couldn't relax at all, like she'd just be listening to us thru the wall. The hallway we were in smelled so musky/moldy. The ice machine leaks water out into the carpeted hallway. It's been like this the past 2-3 stays we've been here. It also makes the rooms musky and humid, could just be old carpet. First shower in our room the faceplate fell off the shower head, was just going to overlook it. We don't stay at the Hampton Inn in Parker, CO for lavish amenities. It's an older hotel, that was not remodeled well, but the price allows us the luxury of not having to sleep in our car for a few nights. It's very "landlord special"-ish, the old under window ac units sound like jets taking off. Our first night I found a little black bug on a bed pillow, so we went ahead and pulled everything off the bed. Didn't find bedbugs, but made us paranoid enough we didn't use their bedding. On our last morning, as we're packing up for check out, the bedside wall mounted table fell off the wall, almost onto my husband. The front desk sent maintenance in to look, he said "not a big deal, easy fix. They aren't held on by much anyways." And they aren't, they arent even screwed into the walls. They are held on with glue and little tiny wood dowl rods. He reassured us it would be a problem to fix.
