Nice hotel conveniently located by Des Moines Civic Center, etc.
Liked: The room was nice and the breakfast had a nice variety.
Disliked: The pool. The chlorine was too high and complaints were ignored.

1st and Last time at...
Liked: The bed was decent. It was a bit hard.
Disliked: The 1st room I was assigned room 611 was trashed beyond belief, and in the 2nd room and eventual weekend lodging room 623, the TV was so dark that day scenes looked like they had a filter over the screen, and night scenes appeared almost pitch black. The face towels in the bathroom were almost thread bare, and the phone only worked if I held the broken cord in place.

Liked: The location of the coffee, which I understand why it was there for outside of breakfast hours, but during breakfast hours was not in a user friendly location. Breakast choices were nice but could use more seating.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to serving you.When we arrived there were so many people checking in from softball teams, reception staff, etc. who were not wearing masks. I didn't see anyone wearing masks. CDC has updated their policy not requiring masks at this time so perhaps this policy might need to be updated? We both were tempted to cancel our reservation as we didn't care to wear masks but were so happy to see no one was. A beautiful room and so comfortable. Thank you.

Liked: Emily very nice and helpful. Clean room.
Disliked: Finding a restaurant open near Hotel. We didn't want to drive to eat after driving 4 hrs. Either restaurant was for sale or closed. So we had a pizza delivered to our room which was just ok.
