Liked: Right in the middle of downtown Salem, about a 10-15 minute walk from the commuter train from Boston. Really close to PEM, the maritime national historic site, etc. All the check-in and check-out was done right in the app.
Disliked: The heater was maintaining the temperature in the room just fine, but the air it was blowing was like room temp. It was slow to warm me up when I came in from outside.

Great location and staff!

Liked: Parking was convenient, and the front desk staff was helpful with all of our questions! The bed was comfortable and the shower water pressure was amazing.
Disliked: The room had a slight smell and the shower floor was a little dingy, but it wasn't really a problem with our stay.

Liked: Excellent location and a beautiful hotel. Modern decor and interior finishings.
Disliked: In all my years of traveling, I have never been woken up at midnight to the sound of fire alarms in a hotel. They were exceptionally loud and were going off in every room and hallway on all 6 floors... at midnight. The entire hotel was evacuated. It was around 30 degrees outside. Nonetheless, dozens of guests huddled outside in their jammies and jackets. Eventually, we were ushered into the lobby while we waited for the fire department to inspect the hotel. It was a malfunction, which was honestly a relief. We didn't get back to bed until 1:30 am and had to be up at 5:30 am. The beds were hard as rocks, and the pillows were lumpy. It was rough!
