Hampton Inn By Hilton Plant City, Plant City

Liked: Pretty clean and easy access to the stores.
Disliked: Finding out about an additional $100 deposit being required once I there. The funds are yet to be returned to my bank account.

Not what I would expect...

Liked: Breakfast was ok. Typical breakfast at a hotel
Disliked: Halls were really hot but the room had the air conditioner going and it was very cold in the room. It was very cold outside. Could not get the cold air to quit. It would blow warm for a few minutes then blow cold again. Bed needed a new mattress. Room was ok but not great especially for the price.

Disliked: I ask to buy a soda and wanted to charge it to the room and I said I would pay cash but then I handed her a twenty and she laid my money back on the counter instead of handing it to me I thought that was rude.

Poor Customer Service

Liked: The staff was helpful with checking in, and breakfast was delicious.
Disliked: Our room didn't have shower gel. We used the hand soap we brought from home. We ignored it because we are hoping that on the third day, cleaning service will be provided, including filling up the shower gel in the bottle. The sign in the bathroom did say that the cleaning service will only be provided every other day. Unfortunately, when we got back to the hotel at 11 PM (the third night), we found out that we still didn't have shower gel, our bed was not made, and we didn't have clean towels. The front desk said that they were waiting for the shower gel to arrive, and I had to go to the front desk to get towels and bar soap. They didn't even have the courtesy to apologize and come to our room to bring the stuff we requested. When I checked out in the morning, the manager said, "We'll investigate." That's the best the could do to make up for the poor service. I don't recommend Hampton Inn in Plant City.

Liked: Breakfast was good; the location was a bit noisy.
Disliked: the hotel uses pump containers filler with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel - not a problem. The staff had no way of filling the pump containers when they were empty and only small amounts of these items in small containers when the larger pump containers ran out of supplies. Housekeeping should have ensured the containers were filled, there is nothing like entering a shower to find there is no shower gel.
