Excellent service - the ladies at the desk were very helpful and knew the surrounding area; the room was very clean and comfortable; the breakfast was great. Will be going back.

Liked: Location was wonderful since we traveled to attend a program at the Newberry Opera House. The breakfast was perhaps the best of any continental breakfast that I can recall.The staff was truly and genuinely welcoming and friendly.
Disliked: The only thing to call out ... and it was minor... was the guestroom smell. Upon initially entering, my wife and I both thought it smelled as though a previous guest had a pet in the room. It was mild, and it diminished after the HVAC ran for a few minutes. We stopped noticing it. Giving benefit of the doubt, maybe it was a residual smell of the cleaning product line they use? Either way, we're not offended, and it was not a deal breaker. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

The room served our needs...
Liked: The location was great for the activities we planned to do. Our room was nice. The bed was comfy. Room cleaning was every other day; that was fine. But we never got service because they cleaned our room later and we were taking showers from the golf we had played. We got clean towels from the cleaner.
Disliked: The breakfast was not impressive. One morning we ate elsewhere. All the food is carbohydrate based and/or has sugar. I can't eat lots of carbohydrates or food with sugar. It's a medical thing and I come prepared. I did bring my own oatmeal and V-8 juice. The last morning they had plain scrambled eggs, which was great. It annoyed me that both waffle makers were "out of order" even though I don't eat waffles. People look forward to waffles when they don't have to make them at home. Buy a new waffle maker!
