Poor
Liked: New building with large parking lot. Good view of the night city.
Disliked: For 15 minutes they demanded from me the reason for checking into the hotel. The answer that I just wanted to sleep in the hotel and have a rest from my family did not satisfy them. They simply did not give me the key demanding to explain why I booked a room in the hotel. It was the first time I encountered such a problem when checking in. I forgot a sealed bottle of whiskey in the refrigerator. I called an hour after check-out to pick it up. They said that the refrigerator was empty) This is the kind of service in this hotel. There are friendlier hotels in Lloydminster where you can even check in at 8 am.

Nice getaway, a bit too...
Liked: We came from Edmonton to spend a weekend at Sandy Beach recreational area. It was very nice, 15 km from the city, well maintained and the swims both days were pleasant. The lake is deep and mostly clear of weeds. We also took time to walk in Bud Miller All Seasons Park, which was nice and refreshing. The hotel was conveniently located at the entrance to the city on Highway 16. The staff was very welcoming. The room was very clean. The King size bed and the Whirlpool in the room were gorgeous. There was good Wi-Fi and free parking. The Brown's Socialhouse restaurant right across the parking lot was very nice, with tasty meals and good service. We took a northern route from Edmonton to Lloydminster, which is very little travelled. It parted from Highway 16 in Vegreville and eventually joined Highway 17. Even though 40 km of it are only gravel-paved, it was a very nice drive, especially as we approached the AB-SK border. There was scenery where we didn't expect to find it. We will come there again to explore it more.
Disliked: The only thing we didn't like is: Lloydminster is not that much of a tourist center, and rooms in its hotels (even with a Whirlpool) should not cost $200 a night!

Great place to stay; loved...
Liked: Great location and loved the clean, brand-new-looking interior!
Disliked: Bathroom floor could have been cleaner; someone elses hair in the corner next to the toilet. Ugh

Good
Liked: Breakfast was good, location and access are great. In the rooms I appreciated the available outlets for charging and plugging in devices.
Disliked: The bed was an old mattress on both our queen beds and was not at all comfortable. Neither my daughter or I had a good comfortable sleep.

My family enjoyed our stay...
Liked: We have stayed at this hotel before and chose it again because of its cleanliness, nice warm pool and good breakfast. It is also convenient for us due to its location at the west end of Lloyd.
Disliked: An earlier check-in time to make more use of the pool would be nice. However, on our stays we were allowed to check in early.
