Very good

Nice hotel and a pleasant...

Liked: When we arrived, our 3rd party booking (Booking.com) had our dates wrong, I attempted to simply have dates switched as room was already paid for, I sat in the lobby for over 2 hours trying to reach a person at that place , good luck. Never did, tried again the next day no luck, the girl that checked us in followed up trying to call from her end, she too had no luck, then called me a week later for follow up, it was nice to see the follow up. At the end I ended up paying twice for a one night stay and Booking.com never responded and kept my money, lucky for us the hotel had an opening our we would have had to try and find another hotel in a small town. STAY AWAY from booking.com not worth the $5.00 your maybe going to save.
Disliked: Nothing There breakfast was far better than I thought it would be, had real food instead of a cold danish and lousy coffee, their coffee was pretty good.

Bad

No facilities but charges full...

Liked: Breakfast good.
Disliked: The hotel had no water, so no hot water to shower in or flush the toilet. No wifi and no cable due to the recent hurricane in the area. While I appreciate the difficulties the hotel was facing they should NOT be excepting new bookings if they can not provide basic facilities and charge a full rate.

Could be cleaner

Liked: Friendly staff
Disliked: Walls in our room were nasty. Very dirty.., bed seemed to be clean as did bathroom so we didn’t complain as it was later and we were very tired.

Good place to stay on...

Liked: Very clean and comfortable. Good location for our journey. Plenty parking. Excellent breakfast.
Disliked: Nothing really - couldn’t find good dinner options nearby without driving.

Passable

Liked: The staff was friendly.
Disliked: The facility and decor were dated. It lacked a fresh and welcoming anesthetic.

Superb

Liked: The breakfast was awesome! Staff was very friendly. Very clean common areas as well as room.
Disliked: The room had a wet dog smell at first. Mattress a little flimsy.

A great find at a...

Liked: Galax Hilton was very quiet and very comfortable, and the breakfast was a delight! The pool area also has a hot tub. Checking in was easy with luggage carts readily available.
Disliked: That we only stayed one night.
