Payment not honored even with...
Disliked: I booked and paid on booking.com but when I arrived at the hotel they weren’t able to honor my payment even though I had my receipt. Apparently they were having trouble with the app and I ended up having to pay again for the room. I would have hoped since I had my receipt they would’ve honored my reservation and then work with booking.com to solve whatever issues they were having but this wasn’t the case. Very disappointing to say the least. I had just finished an event, it was late and I was very tired so I just ended up paying them so I could get some rest.

Liked: Very clean, staff very friendly, professional and courteous. We were greeted as soon as we entered.
Disliked: Vending machines all empty. Pool not working.

Liked: Seemed like ground floor was recently renovated. Looked nice. Rooms were clean. Bed and pillows comfortable. Friendly staff. Loved the hooks on the wall to hang belongings. Nice to have breakfast included. Bathroom was updated and looked nice.
Disliked: The doors were slamming very loudly when other guests entered and exited their rooms. Hallway rugs were very worn and needed replacement. Would have liked exhaust fan in bathroom.

Liked: The breakfast was not up to standard of Hampton Inn in the southern states. Options were limited/bare minimum, expected more.

Liked: The location is convenient to I-95 and to our family's house. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: The room key situation was a bit unsatisfactory. When we checked in the desk clerk wasn't able to make the keys immediately. That was resolved quickly though. But twice during our stay, the keys would not work and I had to go back to the lobby to have them corrected. Also, on Saturday night we were not able to get in the room at all as the lock's battery seemed to be dead. We were given another room on the same floor to stay in until someone could come and break into the room.(1.5 hrs). We were move to the new room for the rest of our stay. I had to move all our belongings to the new room after 11pm that night. I am supposed to receive a 15% discount for two nights of our stay and the receipt printed at our departure indicates that. However, after more that 48 hours after we checked out, the charge for the stay hasn't appeared on my credit card.
