Great hotel! Nice to stay...
Liked: Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommended an excellent restaurant within walking distance for dinner - Malek-al-Kabob. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. Nice to have mini-fridge and coffee maker in room even though we didn't use it. Pool area and workout room small, but clean, looked nice. Really nice to have included breakfast in the morning.
Disliked: There is a fee to park your car, but it is relatively low(4.99/day Dec. 2024) compared with other Detroit hotels. Otherwise, this place is great! My second time staying here and I will again when needed!

Nice comfy place to stay.
Liked: The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was on the Main Street but was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast had a lot of choices.
Disliked: Not being familiar with the area we were not comfortable walking around at night but that’s probably true for 2 girls traveling anywhere.

Passable
Liked: Hampton was clean and comfortable. Very convenient for driving to Ford museum.
Disliked: Too much road noise. The building is right on the main street. It should be insulated better to block out the traffic noise.

I would stay here again.
Liked: I liked that the hotel was near where I needed it to be - my friends that we were visiting, the Ford Museum, and the restaurant we wanted to eat at.We liked how clean the room was. I thought the bed was comfortable, as well as the pillows. The breakfast was really nice. So much to choose from - egg white fritatas, make-your-own waffles in regular or strawberry AND in mini or normal size. Cereals, milk, orange juice, coffee, yogurt, bagels, toast, english muffins, honey, jellies, syrup, apples, bananas, oranges, muffins, scones, chicken sausage patties, potatoes, oatmeat, almond slices, raisens, chocolate chips. There is an work out room, but I didn't use it. The indoor pool was closed for work, so very sadly I couldn't swim. The staff seemed nice. We only dealt with the evening check-in girl, the dining room attendent, and the morning check-out girl. The hotel is also pet friendly, which I very much apperciate.
Disliked: They ask you if you're "parking with them". I parked in the little lot right out side so I said yes. The girl said that'll be $4. There is a free parking garage just a block away to keep your vehicle out of the weather. Along with free parking everywhere else. And it wasn't like the little lot was gated or someone was watching your car. They don't even ask what your plate number is to verify you're parking there, or give you a tag to place in your car. It was just annoying.*THIS BIT DID NOT BOTHER US, BUT I'M MENTIONING IT BECAUSE SUPER PICKY KARENS/KARLS WILL COMPLAIN.* The train track is just right there. I can watch the trains and hear them clearly from the room we had. I love trains, and grew up hearing them, so it was just a familiar sound. Plus it was Friday night and the hotrodders and ricers were were revving and charging by out front. Again, we are gear heads and it also didn't bother us. Apparently there were also fireworks?? My friend messaged me around 10pm saying not to worry, just fireworks, but we slept through those too!! haha!
