Liked: The location is close to major highway and close to a lot of stores. The staff are friendly, the place is new and very clean, the room is large and comfortable, and the continental breakfast is fresh and tasteful. Nothing really to complain.
Disliked: Nothing.

Dog owners beware

Liked: Nice size rooms. Clean.
Disliked: DOG OWNERS BEWARE! We drove three hours to attend a wedding and chose this hotel specifically because it was supposedly dog-friendly. Upon arrival, we called to confirm our early check-in only to be told they didn’t have a room ready. I mentioned that we had a dog with us (something I had discussed with them weeks earlier- I had it noted on the reservation too) and needed the room as we had already arranged to leave her there during the wedding. The front desk informed me that we were not allowed to leave our dog unattended in the room. I was aghast. This put us in a terrible bind as we obviously couldn’t bring the dog to the wedding that was starting in a hour. 1.I had pre-discussed our situation with a representative after booking the room (I called them to add the dog and the pet fee weeks prior), and nothing was mentioned about this game-changing restriction.2.There is absolutely no mention of this policy on their website, which boasts about their dog-friendly environment.3.We have stayed at other Hampton Inns in the last year that allowed us to leave our well-behaved, 17-pound Maltese mix in the room without issue. So I didn’t imagine in a million years that there would be this surprise policy here. When I asked the front desk if they were seriously telling me I couldn’t attend the wedding because of this policy, their response was that it’s unique to this location (even though it isn’t listed anywhere on their website).This experience was a complete stressful disaster.
