Nice, clean conveniently located rooms...
Liked: I often pass on included breakfasts since I'm not a breakfast person, but made sure to eat a lighter dinner the night before because Hampton's was so good. The room was clean & comfortable, with plenty of sockets for charging electronics. The location was very convenient for our purposes: right off I-95 on Eastern Ave., a main E. Baltimore thoroughfare. Just on the edge of Greektown and next to a 24 x 7 (-ish) diner, so food was not an issue. The adjacent Wawa (convenience store) was also a plus. I like that the pool was open all day. The shower was nice with little shelves for e.g. a razor and shaving cream. Nice, clean, fluffy wash-rags and towels in the bathroom when we got there were much appreciated.
Disliked: The pool was a bit cloudy, and had no towels when I went to use it on Sunday. The shared barn-door between the bathroom and the coat closet is an interesting design, but has it's own inconveniences. It was noisy when folks used the bathroom in the middle of the night, and the bathroom had neither sonic nor olfactory (e.g. a vent fan) insulation. I woke up with backaches from the bed, but I've had that issue with rooms much more expensive than this one. When we first checked-in we were assigned to a room that was only nominally non-smoking: someone had clearly had a cigarette (or five) not too long before we arrived, and the room reeked. With my respiratory issues I knew I wouldn't be able to comfortably spend the night there much less the weekend. Leslie, at the front desk was very apologetic and remedied the situation immediately. She, as well as the other employees who served us, were all very pleasant and helpful. Due to the room change, perhaps, we seemed to have fallen off the housekeeping list, and didn't get fresh towels but again -- the front desk remedied this post-haste.
