Staff was excellent despite Hampton...

Liked: Staff was excellent. They did their level best despite the hotel's lack of a backup generator, working toilets and sufficient food & water.
Disliked: We arrived the night Helene hit Asheville, Sept. 26 and our first night went well, but by 5:30 am the next morning the power was out along with internet & cellular. The staff did their level best to help us, but without a backup generator in your hotel there wasn't much they could do. With little food, no working toilets and no running water we were left hungry and isolated for 24 hours until we could find a safe escape route from Asheville the next day. For this reason, I don't feel we should be charged for that 2nd night Friday Sept. 27.

Excellent! It was perfect for...

Liked: Great bed! And breakfast was awesome! The room refrigerator was very handy.
Disliked: Shower was weak, the spigot over the sink needs to be longer - it spills water all over the counter since it doesn’t go far enough over the sink. Need bigger wastebaskets.
