This hotel is fine to...

Liked: The size of the suite we stayed in was good. The buffet breakfast was good as well.
Disliked: There were not enough outlets near the bed in the bedroom. There was a lamp and clock radio on one side of the bed that could not be plugged in. The room seemed a bit dingy and older. There were some spots on the walls.

Seems like a nice place

Liked: The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and welcoming.
Disliked: We had plumbing issues with water dripping out of the ceiling in the bathroom - staff moved us to another room- which was a suite - nice - but the dishwasher was leaking. All issues were taken care of quickly - but it was somewhat of a disappointment to have to deal with such things. Nice hotel - but they need to focus more on maintenance - before guest arrive.

Liked: Breakfast was great. Front desk very good, saw where I was charged twice for room at check in after already paid via Booking.com. Cleared the overcharge for me.

Liked: The location was perfect. Close to the campus of Hampton University and the venues connected to the homecoming activities.
Disliked: Checkout on Sunday morning. Mixup on my room charges, hotel not applying the monies charged to my account on October 24th, the day before I checked in on October 25. As a result, the person on duty was confused as to why there was a balance due showing on their screen when I was checking out on Sunday working.
