From front desk to valet parking, wait staff were excellent; will stay there in future visits.

Convenient location with many bars and restaurants close by. Three blocks from the River Walk and baseball field. MPAC is across the street. Clean room and a comfrotable bed.

Liked: The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The bed linens were clean. The location was perfect.
Disliked: The staff was not very good. The room was not ready when we got there after the check-in time. The people at the desk were not very nice. The lights over the sink in the bathroom did not work. The shower handle fell off in my hand when I touched it. When I called to report this and get it fixed, no one answered the phone. I called twice and let it ring at least 20 times. My friend went downstairs to talk to someone about the shower, the 2 people in the office ignored her while they were talking on their cellphones. They just said thanks for reporting the shower handle. I never did get a shower. The front desk made me run my credit card when I got there, even though the room was paid for, because of "incidentals". There was not a thing incidental in the room. No refrigerator, no snacks, nothing. We did find some ice after going to 4 different floors to find a working ice machine. When I checked out, the font desk employee did not get up from his chair, he just sort of pointed to the basket where I was supposed to put the room keys. He had earbuds in his ears and was obviously not interested in keeping a customer happy. I expected a lot more for the price that I paid.

Liked: In need of remodeling. Window seals paint cracked, peeling and crusty. After giving this hotel a second chance, I was still disappointed changes were made from last year.
