Avoid the first floor if...

Liked: Last time I stayed on the second floor which seemed newer and cleaner than the first floor. Every time someone walked by the door the wind shook the door like someone was trying to open the it. The first couple of times scared the crap out of me, but once I realized what was happening it was just an annoyance that kept waking me up. I love that they have refrigerates and microwaves in room, and the breakfast is pretty good!!

Disliked: The bathroom had not been cleaned and washcloths from previous guest still in shower! Commode had a ring around it and shower not clean! Carpet in hallways not clean! It was an older facility with no upgrades! Not the usual Hampton!

Liked: Clean, excellent staff, and great breakfast.

Exceptional

Liked: Darnell was so helpful even in the midst of our chaos at 2 AM trying to find somewhere to sleep and our reservation not showing up. The morning staff was helpful an accommodating as well. The breakfast was what you would expect for a hotel breakfast. The pool wasn't available but that didnt matter to us we just wanted a place to stay. The staff was even helpful after the mix up with booking double charging me and very responsive and helped get the situation resolved quickly. Thank you for a wonderful comfortable stay. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Adequate

Liked: The location was good. The room was cool and comfortable.
Disliked: The breakfast was poor. The eggs were too long in the warming pan. There were no biscuits or gravy. To be honest, we left and went elsewhere to eat breakfast. The shower pressure was good, but the cleanliness of the shower and the left-over painter's tape was off putting. There was a piece of crown molding missing that could easily be repaired. Also, and this is personal - I hate heavy duvets. Just give me a top sheet and a blanket.
