Ideally located for station and town. Staff friendly; clean, comfy room. Excellent soundproofing.

Good room for just the...

Liked: Very close to parking, not a far walk to anywhere, it was a nice little room
Disliked: The TV kept cutting out, the pillows weren’t very comfortable was more comfortable sleeping on my arm, when we entered the staff weren’t very friendly and just seemed grumpy and wanting us out the way

Liked: Helpful and cheery staff in the canteen. Breakfast had a decent selection.
Disliked: Staff were rude and unsympathetic when I questioned the policy about blocking +£50/day on my card for up to 7 days after my stay, even if I didn't use any extras. They treated me like I was being unreasonable when it is the policy that is unreasonable. They did not take the time to read and understand the policy and what it entitled the hotel to if I were to sign it (which they insisted was mandatory).Most hotels either charge your card as extras are used, or at the end of your stay, or have a deposit / card block that is returned/released promptly at the end of the stay (not 7 days later). There's no way I should be £200 out of pocket for paying bills on January 2nd, just because a hotel kept a block on my card after a concluded Xmas stay where I had used no extras.Pillows had stains. Tiles loose and noisy in the bathroom.Elevators quite small.Cafeteria coffee and the room coffee were both bad.
