Stayed one night after attending a show at the Globe Theatre Stockton. Everything from check in to check out was smooth and easy. Staff were great and the breakfast was great.

Liked: We thought the breakfast was very good. So much provided and lots of choice. It was also nice to sit in the lounge just past the breakfast area. The big windows were lovely and it was peaceful. The staff in the breakfast area were very welcoming and organized. Our room was very clean and the shower was great. We also liked that the toiletries were in refillable containers on the walls since that cuts down on plastic waste.
Disliked: We found the room a bit airless. It's a general problem with hotels, but it seemed like the only way to circulate air was to use the fan setting, but then it became a bit cold. The reading light to one side of the bed had a short in the switch and wouldn't turn off properly. By the time we discovered that, we felt it was too late to call maintenance, so we put a scarf over it. The real difficulty is that there is a smoke or fire alarm on the ceiling right above the bed and it has a colored light on it that flashes every five seconds. And it's bright. I had to sleep with a shirt over my eyes. We did mention both the reading light and the safety light to staff in the morning and they said they would have the reading light checked. But they seemed unsympathetic about the safety light. They really should consider putting electrical tape or some kind of dulling material over that flashing light.
