Liked: Room nice and clean; great breakfast - everything you would want.
Disliked: 2 glasses of white wine were £20 - a bit overpriced; should have been warned about price before.

Wouldn't normally bother sending in a review but the hotel was excellent and very reasonably priced. Booked it eight hours before we got there. It's easy to find just off the ring road but what made it was the staff, all very friendly and helpful. They are a credit to this establishment.

Was generally a nice hotel. Breakfast was really good; nice decor; central for the town centre and Sheffield City Hall.

Disliked: Tea and coffee not replenished and the cleaner took our card out of the electric slot so the room was cold when we returned after it had been a freezing cold day.

Liked: The rooms were really clean and comfortable and the breakfast was really good too.
Disliked: Arriving back at the hotel after a friend's wedding (past midnight),, everyone's key cards stopped working. Key cards are needed to access the lift and stairs as well as rooms. The duty manager was nice but they only had 1 staff member escorting every guest to their rooms. There was no prioritisation, so as a lone female I was left waiting for over 20 minutes for a staff member to bring me to my room. The staff didn't reactivate the key cards, so the next morning after breakfast, I again couldn't get back to my room until finally, a staff member reactivated the key card. There was no acknowledgement of the inconvenience, and the staff were not overly friendly. When leaving to get back to the carpark, I was ushered in a general direction but there are 2 different car parks, they didn't advise how to go between them so I ended up having to ask the breakfast waiting staff to help me find the right car park entrance. The staff were just generally uninterested in being helpful.

Liked: The facility is clean although the rooms floor still had some hair pins and food crambles overall it was clean the bathroom water was not getting drained immediately I don’t know if it’s like that or a problem with drainage
Disliked: Some staff need to atleast be kind if I ask you I.e what’s the reason of the 30 pound and you tell me it’s in our policy and am sure you read it if you don’t pay we can’t check you in ! First you have not answered my question because I did not say I can’t pay I wanted to get the reason . using words like am afraid sorry without really meaning what you’re saying is baseless felt bad especially being an African I felt maybe it’s because it’s not my country but on check out I met an excellent lady I think airman ? or something excellent customer care made feel I should return here again! And the ladies at the excellent launch were excellent and very helpful

The stay was adequate but...

Liked: Breakfast was poor. Hardly a full breakfast as there were no fried eggs or mushrooms. The waffle maker was pointless as there was no mixture.
Disliked: Made to pay £30 per night just in case I had any drinks or food. If I had any drinks or food I would have paid. It is a great imposition to have to give over this money just in case you have anything.

Disliked: Was given a room with a disabled wet room which was awkward to use without putting all the spare towels down to stop slipping ( minor irritation)
