Lovely, helpful staff. A clean room and a comfy bed. The breakfast was very nice - we particularly liked the waffle maker and hot chocolate. My sister has recently had a knee replacement so not very mobile but the hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. Only 2 stops on the frequent buses from Symphony Hall for Â1 fare. We loved it - thank you!

It was good to stay...
Liked: It was very clean! The location was okay, 10 mins walk from city centre. The tram is right behind the building.
Disliked: No complementary drinking water was provided. I had to buy the water. The view was of the alley of the hotel.

Hotel fine but not worth...
Liked: The room was fine, however the air con was very excessive and we were very hot throughout the nights.
Disliked: The reception is often left without any staff at all, meaning a big delay when trying to check in or discuss aspects of the stay.We asked for extra pillows on day one and despite multiple reminders these weren't provided until our last evening. The pillows are quite thin.Visits to reception found staff stood playing on their phones and ignoring guests. On our last morning a sensor alarm in the room went off at 6.20am. We called and someone visited the room to turn it off but this took time and we were all awake by then. The location of the hotel is fine but it's a walk to anywhere.Parking is also non existent, the closest car park is severely high risk for car break-ins and each night there were barely any cars parked there due to this. Not the hotels fault about parking but it was still a pain to deal with. The NCP the hotel recommended is £21 per night if you pay via app but £26 if you aren't tech savvy and don't have the app.I would not stay here again, fine enough hotel but let down by multiple issues and it just isn't worth the stress when you're supposed to be taking a break.

Excellent location, spotless clean, warm...
Liked: This hotel is absolutely spotless. The staff are amazing, polite friendly and welcoming. Location is a few stops on the tram fromGrand central station approx 5 mins travel located right on the St Paul’s tram stop. We used the hotel as a base to visit Legoland discovery centre and Cadbury world.we had fresh towels and room cleaned every day. Public areas including bathrooms are spotless. Rooms are warm, beds are comfortable. The breakfast was really good for a complementary breakfast, it’s busy and so things run out but you only have to ask and they will be replenished. Duty manager Fay was very helpful and welcoming. It is an excellent spot for touring Birmingham. The best hotel we’ve stayed at in Birmingham. We were family of 14 with 5 rooms for 4 nights and had no complaints.
Disliked: It would have been helpful to be able to open the window for a bit of fresh air as can be a bit stuffy but really not a problem.
