Liked: There's nothing about the Halvard that isn't superb. From check in to check out everything was fantastic. The staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts set me up for days of exploring, and you really should try the waffles! The mini bar with complementary chocolate, crisps , soft drinks, variety of teas and coffee is quite simply the best I've experienced. Comfortable beds, luxurious decor, incredible showers, and the mood lighting all made the stay great, and the other elements -particularly the staff - are what makes me want to go back again..

fabulous short weekend break

Liked: i would say this is by far the best hotel in douglas. it has style and oppulance about it. we had a sea view room with a bay window.

Exceptional service and beautiful rooms

Liked: Fantastic service! We had a little issue with noise from guests in the room next door and they bent over backwards to move us. It was also such a lovely surprise to turn up to a birthday banner and balloon from housekeeping.
Disliked: The back bedrooms could be improved with soundproofing between them, especially as the hotel has gone above and beyond to block out noise from the busy shopping street behind the building.
