Family holiday, convenient location

Liked: Location and staff were very friendly and helpful. The happy hour week days was a great addition. Affordable breakfast daily and minutes from fab restaurants.
Disliked: Unable to open windows for some fresh air

A lovely relaxing place to...

Liked: The location and history of the hotel were fabulous. The building itself is full of period features and we loved hearing live music coming through our balcony on Saturday night. The bar was also a great place to stop in for a drink.
Disliked: We had to request a room change on arrival as we had booked two single beds but were given a pull out cot for one guest. The hotel did respond immediately and were very good about it. The bathroom in our final room was a bit dated and I noticed the cane bed head was not clean on the wall side.

Liked: Decor is tired, and facilities are not what you would expect from a hotel of this classification. The bar was shut at between 6 and 7 both nights because no customers there at that time, even though advertised to be open until 9. So no chance of a drink if you return after a meal out. Room small and dark. Would not recommend
