Very good

Terrible night's sleep. No hot...

Liked: The coffee pot worked. Bathroom was clean.
Disliked: The room had all the windows (3) open when we arrived, so we tried to find the heater the room. The owner/manager couldn't find the heater and said he hadn't turned on the heat in the rooms for the season. There was no heater. The owner/manager had to bring us a tiny space heater that was loud and we couldn't sleep. Also, there was no hot water. We left the facet running 5 minutes and it never got hot. Up early and left at 7am.

Pleasant

Liked: The hotel was as expected, not fancy but clean and comfortable. The host/owner was really the highlight, very friendly and welcoming as well as helpful giving restaurant info.

Quant room

Liked: Location. Very cute room.

Quiet and comfortable, but satellite...

Liked: Watching deer browse out our back window.Our room was more of a suite. It was great having beds in separate rooms.The refrigerator actually kept our ice bags frozen, which was great for a road trip.Very quiet.
Disliked: Satellite TV kept cutting in and out, especially the first night. No point trying to watch.

Liked: It's not fancy, but comfortable and clean. Lady in the office was very nice..

An oasis

Liked: This little motel was a haven after driving from Pyramid Lake to Alturas that evening. It was very clean, the bed was great, and the shower felt wonderful. That's all I needed, and I had no complaints. It's not fancy and there aren't a lot of amenities, but it covers the necessities very well. I love that it was beautifully quiet there and that even on a 105°July day the temp got down into the 50's that night and I was able to turn off the A/C and open the windows for sleeping.
Disliked: I didn't have any complaints. For about $75 , I got what I paid for- a clean, quiet, comfortable night's sleep. And maybe a little bit more.

Exceptional

The room was adequate for...

Liked: The room and sheets were clean. There was a coffee pot with coffee (although I didn't make any so can't say how good it was or not). There was a fridge that worked fine. The windows appeared to be new and locked securely. The air conditioner worked well although it was a bit loud (which I expect from an in wall air conditioner anyway).
Disliked: Booked online and got there late (10:30 pm) and the person who checked me in seemed rather annoyed he had to come down to the office so late. He asked me what I type of room I booked online without looking anywhere to see I'd made a reservation. He told me he didn't have any rooms with one queen bed (like I had reserved) so put me in a room with two queen beds for the same price which was fine. The room had a lock on the handle but the deadbolt wouldn't lock. As a women traveling alone, this did not feel particularly safe so I shoved a small dresser in front of the door. I expected a small bar of soap or some shampoo but there was nothing. I ended up taking a shower with just water.
