A very comfortable stay in...

Liked: Breakfast and the breakfast venue were terrific. Rooms were conformable and clean.
Disliked: Not really the B&B’s fault, but parking was a challenge.

Great stay in a beautiful...

Liked: Absolutely gorgeous property. The dining hall is was beautiful and food was excellent.
Disliked: Room was super hot throughout the night, which meant opening the windows to loud seagull noises. Bed was a little too soft.

Highly recommended

Liked: Unique or quirky? Probably both. Why not stay and decide for yourself. An excellent and sympathetic conversion of a Grade 2 listed Methodist Chapel with much furniture made out of old pews. I know this sounds "odd", but it really works. The Hidden Chapel Restaurant is downstairs in the main body of the Chapel was excellent and has live music some nights (check its opening days for dinner as perhaps not open evenings early in the week). Above this are balconies with comfortable seating, and above this are some rooms in what would have been the roof-space. We stayed in one of these: think of exposed beams, a four-poster that appears to have been made from old pews, a slipper bath in the room, and a good shower room (though the basin was placed inconveniently high). There is under-floor heating. And the view over the town and across the estuary is lovely; the castle can just be seen to the right. But there are a lot of stairs to get there! I did not see any of the other rooms, so cannot comment on those.PS I recommend the Malbec
Disliked: My only dislike was the height of the handbasin.
