Beautiful , and comfortable
Liked: I felt safe and was looked after so well.
Disliked: Eating alone, with others who were also eating alone it’s unavoidably uncomfortable, please play music so we are not all in silence.

Liked: Staff members were pleasant and welcoming during our stay.The exterior is lovely. Its a great place to take drone shots of the building and its garden.
Disliked: Furniture and atmosphere seems outdated with a couple of large stains on chairs.The mattress on the bed was not up to standard as there was a large distortion in the middle of the bed which prevented me and my wife from falling asleep.

Very negative expereince at Guyers...
Liked: The location was good.
Disliked: I booked 3 rooms two of which had no heating. My grandson slept with me in a travel cot and was frozen as insufficient blankets were left in the cot on top of the lack of heating. I mentioned my concerns when checking out and was hoping to be given a discount on the bill, as a gesture of goodwill for the lack of heating. I wasn't even given an apology.My sister and her family also stayed the same night and had a similar experience.The room was fairly clean but there were hairs in the basin. The staff were miserable and unelpful.

Liked: We as a family stayed at the Guyers house for my sister wedding on the 31st December 2024. The staff were very polite and they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was made comfortable.i can’t thank the staff enough for there kindness and hospitality keep up the good work

Liked: Just the location.
Disliked: As a frequent user of Booking.com, I’ve come to expect high standards from 4-star properties. My stay at Guyer House, specifically in Room 23, was riddled with issues, and I cannot recommend this hotel to others.For a 4-star hotel, the property failed miserably on basic maintenance, amenities, and overall quality.1.WiFi Issues: The WiFi was not only slow but completely unstable. We raised this issue with the staff, and their only response was to reset the router, which did nothing to resolve the problem. The real issue is the lack of proper WiFi coverage, which is unacceptable in any hotel, especially a 4-star one.2.Damaged Facilities: The bathroom was in a state of disrepair. The toilet brim was cracked, a clear indication of poor maintenance. Even worse, the toiletries shelf was damaged and uneven, making it unusable. Our toothbrushes kept sliding off, which was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable for a 4-star establishment.3.Missing Essentials: The bathroom lacked basic necessities like tissues, which should be a given in any hotel, especially one claiming a higher rating.4.Uncomfortable Room: The bed was far from the comfort level expected of a 4-star property. The overall room quality and upkeep were severely lacking, falling short of what I would expect even from lower-tier accommodations.5.Subpar Dining Experience: The burger I ordered at the bar was of poor quality, and the chips were burnt. This was an added disappointment to an already substandard stay.Guyer House fails to meet even the most basic expectations of a 4-star hotel. The lack of proper maintenance, poor WiFi, and insufficient attention to guest needs made this stay deeply frustrating. Resetting the router and ignoring structural issues show a lack of care for both the property and the guests.At this price point, the experience is severely underwhelming.
