Unexpectedly lovely

Liked: Myself, partner and 3 year old had a one night stay here on a Friday evening - from the minute we arrived we were greeted with friendly staff which continued throughout (special thanks to Mo!) - we were made to feel welcome and that nothing was too much when asked. They cafeteria for our 3 year old outside of the normal dinner and breakfast menu, and really made him feel welcome too.Everywhere was spotlessly clean , tidy and lively decor throughout. Our room was extremely comfortable and catered for us all very well. The swimming pool was great for our little one and next time we will return and try the outside jacuzzi.The grounds were lovely , well kept and nice to walk around. We really can not fault this hotel - fantastic value for money and we will definitely return soon.

Comfortable and welcoming. Lovely setting...

Liked: Room was great. Spacious single room. Well appointed. Staff helpful e.g. someone came and sorted TV channel for me as I couldn't work out the remote control!Unfortunately, I didn't feel well and was unable to try out the spa facilities as I had planned and didn't use the restaurant, so can't comment on these areas.
Disliked: I would have liked to have had a window that would open to get air in the room but understand that this could be difficult from a safety/security perspective.

Superb

We will be back, but...

Liked: We requested a room upfront and told we could have that room. On arrival we were told this room had been taken, we were given another room which was not of the same size/description therefore should not have been that price to what we had booked. We have been coming here for 2 years now and we do love it. But this was disappointing considering the price.

A gem in the countryside

Liked: Lovely hotel with great and discreet staff. Room large with comfortable bed and good bed linen.A bonus is the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Great service and amazing food at the restaurant.Communal areas are splendid. A pleasant stay. Thank you.
Disliked: Not much,but for the sake of completion, the room was a bit warm, and I was not able to adjust the settings as locked. No fridge.

Ups and downs.

Liked: On first view, this looks like an amazing property to stay at. Unfortunately our stay wasn't great. Extremely loud guests kept us awake most of the night, despite being told to quieten down by staff. In one room, there was no hot water, so could not take a shower. The pool was unfortunately very dirty, lots of dead bugs on the surface and empty plastic cups - this was at 8am when the spa first opened. Breakfast was lovely and worth the £15. The double room was compact but doable for a nights stay - although no coat hook?
