Highly recommend Hotel Mainz

Liked: Cleanliness, friendly staff, location.
Disliked: Nothing, excellent stay

Liked: Super clean. Location pretty good. Short walk to old town. Nice breakfast.
Disliked: Some street noise at night, but not too bad.

The location was the best...

Liked: Some of the granola for breakfast was wheat free and almost gluten free, just the oats included were not certified GF. The fact that we could walk there from the train station and into the city was helpful.
Disliked: The material for the bedsheets was scratchy and not the highest quality.You could hear the doors slamming of other hotel rooms.The dining area stools for sitting on at breakfast were not comfortable. Chairs would have been better.

Liked: Stayed in two rooms. The room designed for 3 persons was comfortable for 2 people; the room designed for 2 persons was tight. Rooms were cleaned and serviced daily. Liked kitchen amenities. We stayed in Oct; will likely not stay during summer months since there is no a/c and opening the windows would make it loud due to roadway/people traffic and difficult to sleep during warmer months. Breakfast was decent; sandwiches were fresh. Muesli, yogurt, fruit, coffee/tea. Location is very walkable to HbF. Staff were helpful.
Disliked: No safe; room size; bed height was low.

Amazing place and great value!

Liked: Amazing room location wise (an easy walk from the train station), cleanliness wise and price wise. The staff was outstanding! Breakfast was very good. We thought it would be too loud because it’s right on a Main Street and our room was on the main floor, but once we shut the windows it was amazingly quiet!
Disliked: The AC had been disabled for the season by the time we were there(October) and we would’ve liked to have been able to access it since we couldn’t open our window for the noise.
