Liked: This is a continuation to my update on my first review.
Disliked: For some reason, half of my update was cut off, so I am re-submitting the missing portion.Regarding the marker on the carpet, the only markers present in our room were dry erase markers. I did catch my grandson writing on the closet door mirrors with one of the dry erase markers, but I stopped him from doing it and we cleaned it off with a tissue. If the lighting in the room was not so poor and/or the floors were not carpeted, I would have immediately noticed the marker on the floor and cleaned it up as well. I noted in my original review that carpeting is not as easily cleaned as wood or vinyl flooring. Even so, dry erase marker would not have required a professional carpet cleaning service to remove the marks. A simple Bissell-type carpet cleaner would have easily done the job and, if I had been able to see the marks, I would have rented a carpet cleaner and taken care of it myself prior to checking out.Lastly, regarding the complaints about the "noisy kid" causing them to have to leave the room next to us empty, when I first made our reservation, I informed them that my grandson has autism and can be noisy, which is part of the reason we requested a ground-floor room. When we checked in, I reminded them about my grandson's autism and asked them to please let us know if there were any issues, but once again, NOTHING was said to us during our ENTIRE two-week stay. We made sure that he was not noisy during the night, so the supposed complaints must have been from during the day. There is only so much a person can do to quiet an autistic, nonverbal child and we did absolutely everything we could to keep him as quiet as possible.As I stated in my original review, the manager saw me on the morning we checked out and he acted as if everything was peaches and cream. If there had been such a huge issue with my family's stay, he could have been honest and professional with me face-to-face.

RESPONSE TO MANAGEMENT'S REPLY TO...
Liked: This is a follow-up to my previous review.
Disliked: I cannot figure out how to update/amend my previous review, so I am leaving a new review to address some of the things stated by the property management in their response to my previous review.Regarding the broken television, the manager did not ask me if something had been thrown at it. He simply said "It looks like something was thrown at it right here" and poked at a spot on the TV. When he said that, my response was "Oh no!" I have never owned this type of television (flat screen/LCD?), so all I knew was that the TV had been working the night before and, when I turned it on in the morning, there were weird lines going across the screen. I had no idea there was some kind of material (glass?) under the outer screen that could be broken like that. The manager didn't say anything further, other than the fact that they could bring a smaller TV for us to use for the rest of our stay. In fact, he apologized for not being able to immediately replace the bigger television. If he had said ANYTHING about us being responsible to pay for the TV, I would absolutely have made arrangements to do so.Regarding the supposedly ruined linens, we did not "smear food" on anything and the only item that had any discoloration when we left was one washcloth. As at least one other reviewer has mentioned, the washcloths and towels are not high quality linens and the entire room's supplies, including bed sheets, could easily be replaced for less than $50. Even so, I once again am confused as to why we were not requested to pay for any alleged damages, nor were we even clued in to the fact that there was even any problem AT ALL prior to attempting to book another stay.Regarding the marker on the carpet, the only markers present in our room were dry erase markers. Overall, good space for an...
Liked: Housekeeping staff was very responsive and always greeted me with a friendly hello!Woman who attended to breakfast room was always on top of everything and very helpful.Beds were comfortable and supportive. Room heating thermostat actually worked and was heating was relatively quiet. Could open window (with screen) to get fresh air in room. Coat hooks on wall should be in every hotel!
Disliked: Room had smell of animals coming from carpet. Had to change room. Room was dark for a work space. Had to sign for extra towels as they count them. (They were inexpensive towels, rather small, worn towels.)
