Exceptional
Liked: We don't often stay at B&B's -- and I NEVER take the effort to write a review, but this location warrants a review. However, given the location, there weren't many options. After a long hard drive, the owner made us very welcome. What a gem in a remote location. Excellent breakfast, we were given many good advices about local sites, food, ferry crossing etc. In talking to the local population, everyone had nothing but good comments about the owner. Would recommend to anybody that is looking for a place to stay within 100 miles of this location.

Liked: A century home converted to a b&b. Very unique and an awesome stay
Disliked: Really not much but the creaky floor and stairs. I hope I didn’t wake anyone

Great comfortable stop on the...
Liked: Beautiful, comfortable place with great hosts in Claude and Buddy, the resident gentle giant. Delicious breakfast.
Disliked: Godbout itself doesn’t offer up much in the way of dining choices but has a beautiful stretch of beach / coastline.

Over the top.
Liked: Exceptional property. Well organized and managed. Even the small details were taken care of. Spacious main rooms layed out in interesting themes of area's history. Host even briefed us about restaurant being closed in town unexpectedly on day of our arrival. Breakfast was excellent.
Disliked: Do not change a thing. Could not find any areas for improvement. Will book again when in area.

C'est formidable !
Liked: Claude, the kind and wonderful owner, lives on site with Buddy his gentle giant of a dog. Claude is a fountain of information about the local area. For those of you worried about your fluency in French, Claude is bilingual. It is a small B&B with four lovely rooms. While the two bathrooms are shared, they are spotless and clean. Toiletries are provided. The common areas - dining room, lounge, library and deck - are beautiful and clean. Claude gave a lot of thought to the decor and the layout of the rooms when he converted the house into a business. The breakfasts are PHENOMENAL. Coffee and tea are available at all times. There is candy on offer in the lounge. There is also a small fridge in the lounge in which you can store your own food and drinks. Free parking is available across the street. The ferry terminal is just around the corner.
Disliked: Not being able to stay another night because the B&B was fully booked.

Superb.
Liked: We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Canadian roadtrip. This has been our best stay in North America to date. Claude is a very attentive host who pays attention to fine details, not just the basics that you expect to see. The room, though a little smaller than we are used to, was comfortable and well appointed, and there were multiple ‘common areas’ to read, relax, talk with other guests etc, each well furnished and decorated (so the size of the bedroom did not matter). The hospitality was excellent, including a superb breakfast each morning (where presentation was just as important as the high quality of the food). I am not a dog lover, and was somewhat apprehensive, but i have to say that Buddy was also an excellent ‘host’ - a friendly greeting, but not overexuberant; constantly there, but not obtrusive or threatening in any way. I / we thoroughly recommend this place. A good place for the end of exploring Cote Nord, and then catching the ferry to Matane. It also really helped us (as Australians with no French speaking skills), that Claude was multilingual (Merci, Claude).
Disliked: No improvement required. This place exceeds expectations.

Liked: Fantastic B&B close to the ferry, with Claude as a great and charming host. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay in a squeaky clean room with all the amenities you could wish for, plus a fantastic breakfast. I highly recommend this place.
