A short stay in Greymouth

Liked: The hosts were very friendly. Facilities were good. Liked having a kitchen to prepare food. Bed was very comfy. Shower was excellent.
Disliked: The lack of powerpoints to charge phones etc and some hooks or shelves in the bathroom for clothes.

Disliked: Spiders Also for an elderly person 80yrs i was shocked when i saw shower toilet washbasin all crammed into a little space No where to turn That wasnt s bathroom it was a box

Disliked: The facility is showing its age and needs a bit of spruce up

Never stay there again.

Disliked: Got off to a bad start as they didn’t think I’d advised we had a dog. I had booked pet friendly properties from the North to the South Island and back, and thought I just rocked up with the dog. After being disabused of that at the first property we stayed, I contacted all the rest to advise we had a dog. For some reason this had not been entered on their system, so receptionist not happy. On entering the unit, we looked at the compendium on the table. The first five pages had DO NOTs … “or you will be asked to leave without a refund” and, for dog owners, another up to $1,000 for any necessary cleaning! With the cost of the dog, this was the second most expensive motel we stayed, yet the most dated. The paint was flaking off the ceiling in the bathroom. It was cold, yet we were only reluctantly allowed to leave the heater on LOW while we left for dinner. Other motels had told us they put the heaters on for us so it was warm when we arrived.

Comfortable and large 2 bedroom...

Liked: Comfortable and large 2 bedroom apartment, clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Great location near town & beach.
Disliked: Not applicable

Liked: No breakfast. Location OK.
Disliked: Hot plates hard to work out. Needed help from a fellow guest.
