overpriced chintzy hotel posing as...

Liked: This is a cheap and chintzy hotel dressed up as a fancy hotel complete with high prices! Customer care is nil. The first day I came in late and realized I hadn’t taken a fork for the prepared food I took out from Whole Foods nearby. They told me to call room service. Room service said it would be $6.70 for using a fork and $15 for delivery plus a $7 service charge which would have made the 20 minutes I needed the fork for cost $28!!!!! Then when I went to put the leftovers in the mini fridge it wasn’t on. They said if I wanted a cold mini fridge the could deliver one for $50 a day! This is just bad business! After a long day at Pickleball camp I decided to use the hot tub. It was filled to the brim — no space at all — with young children (age 6-11) jumping on each other and screaming. My stay at GVR was terrible! And I vowed I would write an honest review which this is. I’m not a complainer and I have to say I think this is the only time I’ve ever written a bad review but I want people to know the truth about the place.
