Disliked: scrambled egg breakfast was awful - taste and texture - we were never asked how our breakfast was on plate collection

Liked: Location perfect. Room really lovely. Hotel steeped in history and elegant.
Disliked: No snacks at all in the room. Breakfast was ok but not what it used to be. €340 for the room I would hope both would be better.

Heating in hotel

Liked: Service, food room
Disliked: When we arrived at our room after 4pm only. , it was absolutely freezing. We rang reception. They told us heating is only on in the morning . My husband rang 3 times. They said they would give us a heater. In the end the put on the heating. Can't understand a four star hotel with no heating on in October? When we went down for bite to eat. We returned to find the room cold again. We wanted to stay by reception with our drinks but it was very cold there. Ordered our breakfast, husband ordered fried egg and got scrambled egg??I would never stay in this hotel again.

Disliked: Breakfast was really poor quality food and service. Very surprised that such an expensive hotel has got this soo wrong! Took three requests to get a pot of coffee and was served cold porridge.
