A beautiful & happy place...

Liked: The great charm of this hotel lies in the extraordinary beauty of the bar, 'library' room, and twinkly stairway....lovely cool Indian artiness, and the delightful and accomodating staff.
Disliked: The fittings in the hotel room were a bit dated, but the positives above won through.Also, solo women travellers should take a taxi from the station late at night....the route from the train station included a creepy ink dark road - not great.

Disliked: Awful beds. Horrible sheets and bedding. We asked for larger duvets but we were told they didn’t have any. We had to manage with tiny, thin duvets for the 1st night (we were very cold) then they found a double duvet for the second night. They turned the heating off at night so it was cold. The shower was so hard to work, we had to get a member of staff to come and pull the shower connector up for us. Dangerous slippy shower, water didn’t drain properly, no hand rail. The staff didn’t replenish the milk for the tea/coffee. The sheets had holes in and looked grubby.

Disliked: The mattress. It's a weird combination of sinking into memory foam and then a superfirm layer underneath. The discomfort kept waking me up, and the memory foam made it difficult to shift about. 4 hours of broken sleep in total.
