A clean, friendly stay but...
Liked: Its location was ideal.
Disliked: It’s a bit dated and could do with a makeover. It’s looking a bit tired.

Liked: Hotel was fine for a stop-over; it has nice grounds to walk a dog in. Room was ok.
Disliked: Our room needed a good clean; dry mud on the floor. Rooms were ok but the whole place need re-decorating.

Hotel is struggling to stay...
Liked: Breakfast, staff.
Disliked: Dirty room, dirty spoons in room, lots of items on menu unavailable: ragu, shepherds pie, sausage casserole.

Exceptional
Liked: Friendly and helpful reception staff, comfortable room and a large breakfast buffet in the morning. And plenty of parking, plus the hotel is very conveniently located close to the A303.

Overall good.
Liked: Friendly and polite staff. Food good.
Disliked: The carpet in the room was dirty. It appears that it has been vacuumed but not cleaned for a long time. Many stains ( some of them suspiciously brown). Needs a deep clean. Room needs TLC.

Wonderful experience in a lovely...
Liked: Lovely room, very clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and had drinks in the lounge bar and the food was delicious and plentiful. The waitress/barmaid was absolutely wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Our dog was warmly welcomed and was made a fuss of by everyone. We would certainly visit again soon.
Disliked: Decaffeinated teabags would be a bonus. For a dog friendly hotel there didn’t seem to be anywhere to dispose of poo bags. These are just tiny niggles but wouldn’t stop us from returning often.
