The cosiest lovely hotel/pub

Liked: The pub is unique and so cosy! It feels like a hug around you! The staff were extremely efficient and friendly. The breakfast was superb with great choice and beautiful poached eggs. Day in the pub but again, Cosy, with tables set for each resident. Really nice touch. Bed and bedding first class with warm over blanket for cold days. Lots of hot water and coffee machine and kettle provided
Disliked: I really can’t fault it. The pub was really busy. It was when I went to bed and couldn’t hear a thing in my roomTraffic can be heard on front of property but it’s not heavy and didn’t disturb me

Liked: We stayed here for one night enroute to Scotland for a family get together. This is a lovely hotel and will be our stopover to Scotland every time - if available. Its a lovely quirky hotel. Our room was a small double but was absolutely ample for our one night stay and didn't seem that small compared to some hotels we've stayed at before. Room was clean and beautifully decorated with an ensuite bathroom and shower. We had dinner on the night we stayed (Sunday) - I had a roast and my husband had the fish - both were excellent. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a few drinks in the bar area and there was nothing they didn't have. I would imagine that summer at this hotel is very busy as they have lots of pods for outside dining which are also dressed to perfection. Parking was just outside the hotel which was another bonus.
Disliked: Nothing to comment here.

A real English pub run...

Liked: I think the best thing about this place is that it is really personal and authentic in its hospitality. As a guest, you feel that you matter.

One to return to!

Liked: Cosy pub, comfortable rooms. Good sized bathroom. Great food, including breakfast and decent beer. Friendly staff and good value.
