Liked: Small but very comfortable room, staff were excellent , great breakfast , Boroughbridge is a lovely place for a rest and relaxing weekend.
Disliked: size of room , wish there was a lounge area indoors within the Grantham arms and a slightly bigger tv in the room

A gem of a place!

Liked: Fabulous place, welcoming, really clean, staff polite, and helpful, great food, dog friendly. A special mention to the ladies who clean the rooms, extremely friendly, who can't do enough for you. It's the little things that stand out, such as the extra attention to detail which makes all the difference such as an amazing outdoor area with wool blankets on all the seats for if you're feeling the chills. My favourite is the snack basket in the hallway, for if you get the munchies, a small fridge with cold drinks, such a great idea. We had a very enjoyable weekend, and we will definitely be returning

Liked: This is a lovely place to stop-over. The staff are very friendly, relaxed and efficient. We loved the general feel of the bar area, which was traditional and cosy. Our room was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. A fabulous place to stay. This location is actually the site of the Battle of Boroughbridge.
